Pressed is a comic commentary on the media. Written and drawn by a reporter currently embedded inside a newspaper.
Editor Stan Black
The frazzled editor is constantly disheveled, understaffed and on deadline in a post-Internet world.
Correspondent Rory Finn
After the newspaper closes its last foreign bureau, the former war correspondent returns home to cover the “pet stories and bake sale” beat.
Blogger Herb Snodgras
Easily offended, he maxed out on his quota of letters to the editor and started his own blog called “The Truth.”
Reporter Rosa Diaz
She’s cynical, barely makes deadlines and is addicted to Facebook.
Web Guru Trey Cho
Just out of college, he’s a pioneer of the Twitterverse.
Photographer Preston Riggs
He is not a fan of being sent out to take weather photos during blizzards, floods, heat waves and other plagues.
Mayor Windbagg
He likes to see himself in print, but hates talking to reporters, especially when he puts his foot in his mouth.
Mayor’s Publicist Ron MadisonHe does everything in his power to keep Mayor Windbagg out of the newspaper, or at least his unrehearsed comments.
Sportswriter Gus ClarkHe sticks by the local teams, though they never seem to win, and lords over the autonomous region of the newspaper called the sports section.
